1982年毕业于天津大学精密仪器与光电子工程学院,1984年和1989年分别在该校获得工学硕士和工学博士学位,1990-1992年作为洪堡学者在德国斯图加特大学应用光学研究所从事研究,1992至1998年在天津大学精密仪器与光电子工程学院任副教授,1998至2002任教授、博士生导师。彭翔教授曾在美国休斯敦大学、加拿大卡尔加里大学和香港科技大学进行合作研究。2003年1月调入深圳大学,任教授、博士生导师,曾主持完成多项国家自然科学基金项目、省部级项目、以及企业委托项目,现主持国家自然科学基金、中德国际合作项目、企业委托项目等多项课题的研究。彭翔教授的研究兴趣涉及三维数字成像及造型、光学信息安全、和光学测试技术。他在上述领域的国际和国内重要学术期刊上发表研究论文130余篇,出版学术专著1部,获得授权国家发明专利10余项(向企业转让发明专利6项),软件著作权2项,曾获德国洪堡基金,国家教委科技进步奖,天津市青年科技奖,深圳市科技创新奖。彭翔教授已经指导毕业了26名硕士研究生、12名博士研究生、和4名出站博士后。
