报告题目：Fingerprinting Single Cell Metabolism by Hyperspectral Stimulated Raman Scattering Microscopy
报告摘要：Direct molecular imaging and characterization of cancerous tissues without tedious pathology or fluorescent labelling have been long pursued. However, the current available label-free imaging modalities either lack enough sensitivity to detect low concentrated bio-molecules in cells, or fail to provide imaging contrast with desired specificity. Here, we developed hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) imaging(1-3) method to investigate cancerous tissues from patients(4). We studied chemical constitutions of mouse brain with high spatial resolution by obtained Raman spectra in only 140 nm sized pixels. Our study illustrated the great promise of hyperspectral SRS as a powerful metabolic imaging tool in both biological and clinical applications.

报告人简介：Professor Ping Wang received his B.Sc. from Department of Physics, Wuhan University in 2002 and Ph.D. from Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, CAS in 2007. He began his postdoctoral research from 2008 at Purdue University. After he got the national award of ’Chinese Youth 1000 Program’ in 2015, he started independent research career on Stimulated Raman scattering microscopy as a Professor at Wuhan National laboratory for optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
